Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital at around 6.30pm on Friday, setting off anguish among his fans.
However, sources say the actor was discharged after injections. He reportedly returned home with son Abhishek. The hospital confirmed that the 75-year-old actor had been admitted while Big B’s office subsequently stated that he was not in any sort of danger.
The actor had been admitted to hospital for a check-up because he had been complaining of neck and spine pain, sources added. Earlier on Friday, the teaser of Bachchan’s upcoming release 102 Not Out was launched.
The film co-starring Rishi Kapoor has Bachchan playing a 102-year-old-man, and narrates an emotional story of an elderly father-son duo.
The film reunites veterans Big B and Kapoor on screen 27 years after they last worked together in Ajooba. He had been last taken ill seriously in March 2017.
At that time, he had tweeted assurance to his fans soon after leaving hospital. Sometime back, he revealed that 25 per cent of his liver had been destroyed by Hepatitis B virus.
